OUR HISTORY

Stick and Rudder Public House was established in the unforgettable year that was 2020.  The Pub is located in a historic building in the quaint bayside community of Fair Haven, NY.  

 

The name “Stick and Rudder” comes from the aviation term referring to the basic flying skills of a pilot.  The name itself has both an aviation and nautical context, and the interior reflects that with original nautical paintings, aviation pictures, and a veteran’s memory wall.  The owner is a former Marine aviator and lifelong sailor, hence the origin of the name.

We specialize in great craft beers, original cocktails, and light fare.  It is a comfortable setting to gather with friends and share sea stories and memories.
